-

-
At least 10mb HDD Space is required for each installation, the Impero Server will require more space if violation screenshots are stored.
-
An Internet connection is required on the Impero Server computer to register the product
-
Please log on to the server computer as a local administrator who has no roaming profile to properly register the trial version, otherwise the Microsoft Crypto API does not work.
-
For changing of student passwords, it is recommended that the Impero Server resides on a domain controller.
2. Once you have downloaded Impero, run the downloaded file and click next to extract the installation files.
3. After initial file extraction you will be presented with the following:
At this point you must be aware that Impero consists of 3 separate applications. These must be installed to separate computers, otherwise Impero will not function as expected.
4. First you must install the Impero Server. So select the install button for the Impero Server.
By selecting this option, you will be installing the Impero Server to the current computer, which must be a server computer, ideally a Domain Controller or other permanently switched on computer. You must install the Impero Server component of Impero whilst at the actual machine as attempting to perform the installation using Remote Desktop etc will not complete successfully. If you downloaded the Impero software onto another machine you will have to either download the Impero Setup again using the Server Computer, or copy the files across the network.
5. Following the installation instructions on the screen will lead you to the registration process. This activates your copy of Impero. Simply follow the instructions to activate your product. This should only take 2 minutes.
After the Registration is complete, the Impero Server will start, and minimise to the system tray.
You can now install the Impero Consoles, and Workstations.
6. On the Impero Installation Wizard application described above, select 'Install Remotely' to install the Manager Console on a remote machine.
You will be presented with the remote deployment software which enables you to install Impero Console to remote machines found on your network:
Simply select the machines on the left pane that you wish to install the Consoles to, typically staff or ICT technicians machines and push them to the right pane, then click install. You may be required to restart staff machines after installation.
7. Finally you can repeat step 6, but instead selecting to install the Workstation remotely. This will deploy the Impero Workstations across your network.
